The Geological Survey of Pakistan
(GSP) has discovered several deposits
of lead and zinc ore in Lasbela-
Khuzdar region of Balochistan
Province. These deposits are
associated with carbonate rocks of Windar Group and Shirinab
Formation. Three of these deposits namely Gunga. Surmai and
Duddar have been investigated in some details by GSP. More than
10 million tons reserves are indicated in the region.
