Large deposits (56 million tons) of white marble have been found from Nausehri-Jhugian area of Azad Kashmir.
The chemical results of Nausehri-Jhugian marbles show SiO2 10.34%, Al2O3 0.34%, Fe2O3 0.17%, CaO 32.54%, MgO 21.21%, Al203 0.34%,
TiO2 0.027%, P205 0.001%, Loss on ignition 35%, Na20 and K20 below detection limit. Good quality & quantity of white marble has
also been explored from Mehmund & Battgram Districts.
